About Me

About Me

I am a sci-fi and fantasy writer. My stories often focus on epic scale, intriguing questions, or surprising twists. Several of my shorter works are published for free on my website. I’m currently working on a few longer short stories for publication and my first epic fantasy novel!

I’ve been creating stories for as long as I can remember. As children, my siblings and I would play out incredible tales of adventure with our toys (usually Playmobil—the most underrated toys in history—or Lego). We even filmed some rather impressive stop-motion movies with them, which are sadly(?) lost in the ether. Friends and I would doodle scenes with miniature stick figures having epic battles over massive mountainsides or among treetop villages. And of course, we took our favorite characters from TV shows and re-created our own stories in the backyard, usually involving ‘the floor is lava.’

I discovered how this translated to being a writer in 5th grade. My class was given an assignment to write a story with the prompt “Halloween Is Cancelled.” (This is where my love for prompt-based writing began.) I had recently been traumatized for life when my family moved to a new state, so I decided to write a story with all my old friends in it. I got too invested and took it way too far. The story ended up around 10 pages (double-spaced of course!) and was left with a “to be continued…” because I didn’t have time to get to the real ending (something about alien abductions and battling invaders to save humanity… you know, stuff only a 10-year-old brain would come up with). Two years later, the trend continued and I wrote a lengthy unfinished story for another school assignment, which I continued writing in all my spare time.

Twenty years later and I still love it. I’ve participated in a number of short story contests (through NYC Midnight) and have recently begun submitting my writing for publication. I’m excited to begin work on what will become my first novel and have a few other fun things planned.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy following my journey!
